Description: College-bound students benefit from writing at least one long research paper. This class will guide students through the process of researching, drafting, revising, and finalizing a 12–20 page paper. (The length will be determined in collaboration with the students and parents and according to skill and experience.) Along with a written paper, students will prepare a presentation on their topic to the class as well as teach different writing topics. Also included in this class is the introduction of college-level vocabulary terms and review of common problems in grammar, especially those difficult areas that often appear on college entrance exams.

Tutor: Kim Witthuhn works as a professional editor and has taught literature, writing, grammar, history, geography, and various electives at homeschool organizations over the last 20 years, including homeschooling her own children. She is also a homeschooling and career consultant and enjoys helping people discover the unique design God gave them. Mrs. Witthuhn graduated from Concordia University with a BA in English and Social Science Education. She lives in Eden Prairie with her husband and enjoys studying the Bible, reading, learning, and spending time with family.
