Description:
When students get good grades, it’s assumed they know how to
study. Unfortunately teachers report that students, even those who earn
good grades, are lacking basic skills on how to learn, engage in the
classroom, and successfully complete projects. This class is for students
who want to learn how to better plan, manage, organize, and complete their
schoolwork. Students will explore the “process” of school as well as what
causes friction in that process for each student. Students will also learn
and practice strategies for time management, organization, planning,
listening, active studying, notetaking, test preparation, test taking,
research skills, and project and paper development. Tutor: Kim Witthuhn works as a professional editor and has taught literature, writing, grammar, history, geography, and various electives at homeschool organizations over the last 20 years, including homeschooling her own children. She is also a homeschooling and career consultant and enjoys helping people discover the unique design God gave them. Mrs. Witthuhn graduated from Concordia University with a BA in English and Social Science Education. She lives in Eden Prairie with her husband and enjoys studying the Bible, reading, learning, and spending time with family. Cost: $228,
$238, $248 per semester (depending on registration date) |
