Description: Students will have fun exploring art while learning the basics of drawing and painting. Skills will be loosely built upon previous ones while they discover how to use color in a variety of mediums such as crayon, marker, tempera and acrylic paint, oil pastel, and mixed media.
Tutor: Abbie Stewart has a bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from North Central University with a double minor in Business Administration and Christian Studies. She has been singing for as long as she can remember, has played the flute since 4th grade, and has been involved in auditioned choirs in high school, college, and beyond. A memorable moment in her musical journey was when she learned to harmonize with her sisters at age 12 during a family mission trip in Tanzania. She has a passion for seeing students fall in love with music at a young age like she did and experience “light-bulb” moments. In her free time, she enjoys playing ultimate frisbee, songwriting, and serving on the worship team at church alongside her husband, Thomas.
